At Comfort Kingdom, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains your rights and how returns, cancellations, and refunds are handled in accordance with UK consumer law.

1. Your Consumer Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all goods supplied must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality
  • Fit for their intended purpose
  • As described on our website

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

2. Right to Cancel (Online Orders)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you purchase furniture from our website, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery.
  • Once cancellation is confirmed, you have 14 additional days to return the item.

Items must be returned in unused condition and in the original packaging where possible.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods using the original payment method.

3. Made-to-Order & Customised Furniture

Many of our products are made to order or customised, including furniture where customers select specific sizes, fabrics, or finishes.

Under UK consumer law, customised or bespoke items are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation rights.

This means:

  • Orders for customised or made-to-order furniture cannot normally be cancelled once production has started.
  • These items cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind.

However, if a customised item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund where appropriate.

4. Condition of Returned Items

Returned items must:

  • Be unused and in a resalable condition
  • Include all original packaging where possible
  • Not show signs of assembly, damage, or excessive handling beyond inspection

We may reduce the refund amount if the product has lost value due to unnecessary handling or use.

5. Return Shipping & Collection

For large furniture items that cannot normally be returned by post:

  • We may arrange a collection service.
  • A collection fee may apply, unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted items unless the return is due to our error or a faulty product.

6. Damaged or Faulty Items

If your furniture arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the damage or defect

We will arrange one of the following:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Full or partial refund

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot normally be returned unless faulty:

  • Customised or made-to-order furniture
  • Items assembled or altered after delivery
  • Products not in original condition
  • Mattresses or bedding products where packaging has been removed (for hygiene reasons)

8. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Processing may take 5–10 business days depending on your bank

Delivery charges may only be refunded where required under UK consumer law.
